Export value continues to rise

Fish exports amounted to DKK 9.3 billion from January to October 2022.

Total exports in the first 10 months of this year amounted to DKK 10.2 billion, compared to DKK 7.9 billion in the same period in 2021. This is an increase of 29%. The tables below show the annual changes by export category.

The export value of all fish species has increased year-on-year. The export value of fish products in the first 10 months of this year has now surpassed the total fish products export value for 2021, which was a record year. This increase is due to higher prices as the export volume went down by 4%.

The salmon export value increased from DKK 3.5 billion to DKK 4.5 billion (30%) in the first 10 months of 2022. This increase came despite an 8% drop in export volume.

The export value of demersal fish species cod, saithe and haddock increased by DKK 422 million (40%). The export volume increased by 6%.

Exports to Russia amounted to DKK 100.4 million in October 2022, of which DKK 87 million was herring and mackerel. The rest consisted of fuel and other supplies sold to Russian ships.
