Exports up by DKK 343 million year-on-year

Fish exports for the first 11 months of 2023 amounted to DKK 10.9 billion, an increase of DKK 489 million over the same period in 2022.

Total exports for the first 11 months of 2023 amounted to DKK 11.7 billion, an increase of DKK 343 million over the first 11 months of 2022.

The highest export value growth was registered in the ‘mink feed’ and ‘other fish species’ categories. ‘Other fish species’ includes products made from all fish species not mentioned in the table below. Most products in this category are fish meal, fish oil and the like. 

The export value of salmon dropped by DKK 333 million (6.6%). The salmon export volume went down by 9,482 tonnes (14%). Salmon prices have been good, and there is still some growth in the average annual price.

Exports of demersal fish species cod, saithe and haddock dropped by DKK 267 million in total (17%, 12% and 24%, respectively). Prices are falling for all key fish species (except for salmon).

Exports to Russia in November 2023 amounted to DKK 142.4 million, of which DKK 104 million was herring and DKK 26 million was mackerel.
