Fish oil and fishmeal exports down DKK 908 million
The tables below show export figures in terms of value and volume in the December 2023 - November 2024 period compared with the previous 12-month period.
Fish exports increased by DKK 319 million (almost 3%). The past year has seen increased imports of many fish species, including salmon, cod and mackerel, while exports of other fish species have decreased.
Salmon exports increased by DKK 693 million, exceeding DKK 6 billion in total in the December 2023 - November 2024 period. The import value of salmon increased by 13%, while the import volume rose by 24.5%.

The table below shows the export of fishery products by country. The largest decrease is in exports to non-EU European countries. Exports to the EU remain almost unchanged at DKK 5.6 billion. Exports to North America decreased by just over DKK 100 million, while exports to Asia increased by DKK 170 million, or 23.8 percent.

Recent years have seen a considerable increase in exports to the EU and the USA. Today, exports to the EU are about twice as large as before 2021. Similarly, exports to the USA have increased from DKK 50-100 million per month in the years from 2014 to 2021 to DKK 100-200 million per month.
