Import value in 2021 - first 11 months
The total value of imports in the first eleven months of 2021 was DKK 8.4 billion.
Total imports in 2021 up to and including November amounted to DKK 8.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.3%. Excluding ships and aircraft from the figures, the import value increased by 14%.
The recent spike in oil prices is clearly reflected in the import value. While the import value in 2021 was largely the same as the previous year in terms of volume, the Faroe Islands spent 43% more on fuel in the first eleven months of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.
The ‘raw materials for fish production’ group saw a significant increase of 49.2% compared to the first eleven months of 2020.
