Imports of goods

Imports up by DKK 3.2 billion
The table below shows imports from February 2022 to January 2023 compared with the previous 12-month period.
The big increase in total imports mainly comes from imports of vessels and aircraft, which increased by DKK 1.4 billion year-on-year. Imports of fuel increased by DKK 938 million. This increase is mainly a result of price hikes. Fuel prices peaked in the summer of 2022 when the import price of fuel for household heating surpassed DKK 8 per litre. The current price is approximately DKK 7 per litre.
Imports in the ‘for aqua- and agriculture’ commodity group increased by DKK 282 million (45.4%). These imports mainly consist of feeding stuff for use in aquaculture. The increase in the ‘for other industries’ group is partially due to increased imports of medicine.
