Imports remain on the rise
In the 12-month period Feb. 21-Jan. 22, the total value of imports was DKK 9.4 billion, an increase of DKK 1.4 billion compared to the preceding 12-month period.
The table below shows the total value of imports in the last 12 months compared to previous 12-month periods.
The DKK 507 million increase in value of fuel imports is largely due to a spike in market prices. Compared to January last year, fuel prices in January 2022 saw an increase of approx. 70%.
The group ‘raw materials for fish productions’, representing imports of whole fresh fish and frozen fish, saw a 87% increase. The group ‘machinery and other capital equipment’ increased by 33%.
