More hotel stays but fewer room nights in 2024
Hotel overnight stays are used as a measurement of the number of visitors and the duration of their stays. For example, if one person spends three nights or three people spend one night, both cases add up to three overnight stays.
Just over 230,400 overnight stays were registered in 2024, up by almost 8,900 on the previous year. The number of check-ins increased by about 3% to 95,000.

Slight dip in room availability
Room availability tracks the number of available hotel rooms. To determine the annual room availability of a hotel with 20 rooms, 20 is multiplied with the number of days in a year that the hotel is open.
The occupancy rate shows the number of available hotel rooms used.
The annual occupancy rate for 2024 was 49%, slightly down from the 2023 figure of 52%. It is worth noting that the room availability figure increased by more than 6,500 in 2024. The number of room nights dropped by about 2,650 year-on-year in 2024.
The highest annual occupancy rate was registered in 2019 when it reached 61%.
