Big drop in hotel visitors in August
Figures on hotel overnight stays have been updated until the end of August
The tourism industry has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, as evidenced by the big drop in hotel visitors since the outbreak. August saw a decrease of more than 7,000 overnight stays in the country’s hotels compared to August 2019. The graph below shows that hotels outside of the capital region suffered the most.
